Military Land Sustainability Certificate

The certificate in Military Land Sustainability is a web-based program that provides students with an understanding of factors that influence natural resource conservation and management of military lands. The program is comprised of coursework in three integrated, multidisciplinary thematic areas of emphasis: land management, policy analysis and development, and cultural competencies and conflict management. The Certificate in Military Land Sustainability (MLSU) can complement existing professional graduate degrees offered in the Department of Rangeland, Wildlife and Fisheries Management or stand-alone for non-degree seeking students.

Application Process

Fill out the Apply Texas Online application

Certificate Alone
Apply to the non-degree seeking program and choose Military Land Sustainability, Certificate as the major.
Certificate with Graduate Program
Apply for graduate degree and alert Amanda Ray of your interest in the certificate.

Applicant Information System (AIS)
After Texas A&M receives your application you will be sent an application acknowledgment letter with your Universal Identification Number (UIN) and instructions on activating your Net ID to gain access to AIS, where you will be required to upload:

  • Test scores (institution code 6003)
  • Official transcripts from any college/university previously attended (excluding community colleges)
  • Statement of Purpose
  • Resume/CV
  • Request 3 letters of recommendation through the electronic Letter of Recommendation (eLOR) system (preferable from professors)
  • Departmental datasheet

IMPORTANT: Be sure to complete your departmental datasheet in Documents Required by Graduate Department section. Your application will not be forwarded to the department if the data-sheet is not completed.
