The minor is available to students in all majors and focuses on managing wildlife and fisheries populations and their habitats while addressing modern conservation challenges.

Request Information about the Program

The program’s curriculum focuses on developing a foundation in techniques of wildlife and fisheries management, including managing wildlife populations and their habitats as well as integration of applied fisheries management, preparing students to handle traditional and emerging, complex issues. Students tailor their minor by pursuing coursework focused on either wildlife or fisheries management.

This minor is designed for undergraduate students seeking to further refine their studies and complements an array of majors including biology, environmental studies, ecology and conservation biology, and more.

Program Requirements

As long as you are a current undergraduate student at Texas A&M University with a minimum 2.5 GPA, you are eligible to pursue this minor. At least three semesters remaining to completion of degree are required prior to declaring the minor. Declaration of minor is made in the student’s home college or major department. Students may request that their major advisor add the RWFM minor.
