Natural Resources Management and Policy Track
From habitat degradation and biodiversity loss to water quality and availability, the natural environment is facing myriad challenges in an ever-growing world. Thankfully, there are professionals who dedicate their careers to addressing such issues with science-based solutions and advocacy.
The Natural Resources Management and Policy track prepares students to examine these and many other environmental and conservation issues through a multi-disciplinary framework that includes political, cultural, social, economic, regulatory and ecological dimensions. Courses emphasize the development of skill sets that promote strong interpersonal skills, leadership and collaboration with a variety of stakeholder groups. These critical skills are taught through classroom and immersive field experiences, working in tandem to enhance students’ abilities to assess complex environmental issues, envision a desired conservation outcome, and design and implement a plan needed to bring visions to fruition.
