Clayton Wolf has over 30 years of experience as a wildlife biologist in Texas. Wolf is a certified wildlife biologist with The Wildlife Society and is an avid outdoorsman—a passion which began on his family ranch in Lee County. Since 2020, Wolf has served as the chief operating officer at the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. As the chief operation officer, Wolf oversees the operations of the agency to advance their mission of managing and conserving the natural and cultural resources of Texas.
Prior to this role, Wolf served as the Wildlife Division director at Texas Parks and Wildlife for more than ten years. As a member of the RWFM external advisory committee, Wolf hopes to enhance and develop the curricula and research programs to ensure graduates are well-equipped to address natural resource management challenges in Texas. His vision for the department is to produce graduates who possess the technical knowledge and interpersonal skills necessary to successfully enter the workforce, whether employed by agencies, non-governmental organizations or private landowners.
