Professional Summary
Gerard Kyle is a professor in the Texas A&M University Department of Rangeland, Wildlife and Fisheries Management. His research and teaching interests lie in the field of conservation psychology. This work addresses an array of questions that provide insight on people’s propensity to adopt behaviors that reduce their deleterious impact on the environment, protect biodiversity, and support the protection and development of nature-based solutions and the ecosystem services they afford. Over the past five years he has attracted over $1.5M dollars in support of his research program and over $4.5 million for career. Kyle has been cited in peer-reviewed outlets on over 11,000 occasions. He was editor-in-chief of the journal, Leisure Sciences, and is currently an Associate Editor for the journals Environment and Behavior, Society and Natural Resources, and the Human Dimensions of Wildlife.
