Readmission
Students who were previously enrolled in a degree-granting program at Texas A&M and did not complete their program of study can apply for readmission to the university. For more information on readmission to Texas A&M University, visit admissions.tamu.edu/apply/readmit.
Undergraduate Readmission
Step 1: Contact an Advisor
Contact an advisor within the department to begin the readmission process.
Step 2: Admission Application
After consulting with an advisor, undergraduate students seeking readmission should complete their application through ApplyTexas.
Step 3: Essay
Submit a statement explaining why you desire readmission to Texas A&M. The essay should reflect your academic or professional growth that has taken place during your time away from Texas A&M.
Step 4: Non-refundable Processing Fee
A $75 non-refundable processing fee is required to complete your application.
Step 5: Official Transcript
An official copy of each college transcript from institutions attended since the last enrollment at Texas A&M are required. For information on how to submit an official college transcript, see the Document Submission Page.
Graduate Readmission
Applicants for readmission at the graduate level should follow the regular application process detailed on the Texas A&M Graduate Admissions page. Graduate students considering readmission should consult with an advisor prior to beginning the process.
Admission decisions for Graduate Readmission are based on the following:
- GPR on Texas A&M coursework
- GPR on coursework since leaving Texas A&M
- desired major
- information presented in the application
