Rangeland Management Minor
The U.S. is home to roughly 770 acres of diverse rangeland ecosystems that provide invaluable ecological and economic services.
The Rangeland Management minor is designed for undergraduate students seeking to further refine their studies in environmental management and stewardship. The minor is available to students in all majors and focuses on developing and integrating the disciplines of ecology and range management to best promote the production, conservation, function and stewardship of rangelands found around the world.
The Rangeland Management minor curriculum focuses on fundamental ecological and rangeland principles used to address leading challenges, such as watershed health, invasive exotic plant control and wildland fires.
This minor complements an array of majors across the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences including animal science, agricultural economics, environmental studies, ecology and conservation biology, and more.
Program Requirements
As long as you are a current undergraduate student at Texas A&M University with a minimum 2.5 GPA, you are eligible to pursue this minor. At least three semesters remaining to completion of degree are required prior to declaring the minor. Declaration of minor is made in the student’s home college or major department. Students may request that their major advisor add the RWFM minor. Some colleges and departments outside RWFM may not permit their students to declare a minor.
