Research and Extension

As part of our land-grant mission, the Department of Rangeland, Wildlife and Fisheries Management is member of Texas A&M AgriLife, serving the state through research, Extension and outreach.

Our research scientists and Extension experts improve practices, create solutions and share resources to conserve rangelands and other natural areas, sustain wildlife and fishery populations, and integrate policies into natural resources management.

Researchers at Texas A&M AgriLife are studying plant-based compounds as alternatives to antibiotics to strengthen the health, sustainability and economic resilience of U.S. catfish production, the nation’s largest aquaculture industry.
