Undergraduate Admissions

Interested students must submit their application, along with required materials through ApplyTexas or Common App. A full list of program requirements can be found on each degree program page.

Undergraduate deadlines are decided by TAMU, not the department.

How to Apply

Step 1: Admission Application

Prospective students can submit their applications through ApplyTexas or Common App. The application you choose will not affect your admission decision.

NOTE: On average, it takes 3-5 business days from the time your application is successfully submitted for Texas A&M to receive it. Monitor your email address which you provided on the application for the Application Acknowledgement communication.

Step 2: Essay

The application essay is your chance to set yourself apart from other applicants. Texas A&M cares about more than your grades and scores, we want to know what makes you you!

Read through the Texas A&M essay and application tips to get a step ahead on the competition.

Essays are submitted as part of the freshman application process.

Step 3: Non-Refundable Processing Fee

A $75 non-refundable processing fee is required to complete your application.

Step 4: Submit Required Documents

All freshmen applicants must complete a Self-Reported Academic Record (SRAR) except for students not completing high school in the U.S. and GED graduates.

Step 5: Optional

Texas A&M also allows optional documents as part of the undergraduate application process, such as resumes, test scores and letters of recommendation. Detailed information regarding these optional documents can be found on the official Freshman Admission Page.
